The State Forest
In recent decades, in the terrain of the forestry department of Pietralunga-Bocca Serriola have been established interesting mechanisms of regeneration, both natural (secondary succession process with a gradual shift the uncultivated to scrub and then trunked wood) and by man (conversion of deciduous trees in the woods) so that today we are faced with one of the largest and best preserved complex forest hills of our country: an area ideal for the study and dissemination of natural hilly ecosystems.
